About Rebecca

Rebecca (Becca) Martino Cohen has a broad background in sports, yoga, and wellness. She is a Professional Yoga Therapist and a registered yoga teacher at the 500 level (RYT500). She completed her first teacher training at the Sivananda ashram in Kerala, India and finished her advanced training with
Integrative Yoga Therapy here in the US. She is also trained in Thai Massage, Trauma Release Exercises (TRE), and holds a masters degree from the University at Buffalo in Urban and Regional Planning. Rebecca has been practicing various styles of yoga since 1997 and teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced vinyasa, pre-natal, restorative and therapeutic yoga since 2007.

Rebecca teaches a challenging class adaptable for everyone. She loves yoga because it brings the practitioner to that place of concentration and inner focus where the rest of the world disappears. Her classes are light-hearted, challenging and healing; a mindful series that integrates postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Rebecca teaches her students to work at the edge but within their limits. Her style is influenced most by Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and
Integrative Yoga Therapy traditions. Being influenced by the widest ranges of the yoga spectrum gives her the tools to teach creative, challenging classes that incorporate all levels of asana (beginner to advanced) into a fun and safe practice.
