What to Expect

In General- Please arrive a few minutes early for class on an empty stomach. Wear comfortable clothing that stretches, but stays close to the body. Yoga is typically done barefoot. Bring a mat suitable for yoga, and you may also want to bring a small hand towel and a yoga rug if you use one.

For Private Sessions: New students will need to fill out a form in advance of the first session. You might want to arrive early to get the most out of your time slot. The first session will begin with identifying your goals (pain management, increase strength, weight loss, greater mobility, treatment for injury, etc.), your physical challenges, and address any health concerns you may have. Each session may include asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), guided meditation, mudras (hand gestures), mantra chanting (ie. Om) depending on the individual's needs.

For Thai Yoga Massage: Wear or bring a change of comfortable loose clothing, as Thai Yoga Massage is done fully clothed and no oils or lotions are used. The client rests on a thick comfortable mat on the floor, and the therapist uses hands, arms, feet, and knees to give gentle rhythmic compressions and yoga-like stretches to joints and muscle tissue.
